What I can help with

Practical repair and IT help for homes and small businesses around Longmont. I’ll quote the work before I start.

For homes

House calls, remote help when that’s faster, or I can take a machine if it needs more time on the bench.

PC and laptop repair

Computers that won’t start, run slowly, overheat, or keep showing error messages.

Virus and scam cleanup

Pop-ups, ransomware scares, and leftover junk after someone called pretending to be support.

New computer setup

Get a new PC ready to use and move over files, photos, email, and printers from the old one.

Wi-Fi and home network

Dead spots, dropped connections, a new router, or devices that won’t stay online.

Printers and other devices

Printers that refuse to print, shared folders, and the usual “why won’t this talk to that?” problems.

Backups

A simple plan so photos and important files aren’t sitting on only one drive.

For small businesses

Help when technology is getting in the way of serving customers — without a corporate IT contract.

When something breaks

On-site or remote troubleshooting for staff computers, shared machines, and the unexpected outage.

New staff setup

Get a computer ready for a new hire: accounts, email, printers, and the files they need.

Office Wi-Fi and network

A more reliable connection for the people who work in the building every day.

Email and lockouts

Locked accounts, missing mail, and the login loops that stop work cold.

Backups you can restore

Make sure business files have a second home, and that you know how to get them back.

Plain-English advice

If a machine isn’t worth repairing, or a bigger project needs a specialist, I’ll tell you straight.

How I work

You describe the problem. I figure out what’s going on, explain the options, and give you a quote before I start. Some issues can be fixed remotely. Others need a visit. If a computer needs more time than a house call allows, I can take it with me and bring it back.

I work on Windows PCs and laptops every day and can help with many everyday Mac issues. I don’t claim to be Apple-certified, and I won’t take on work I can’t do well.
